Wenlcok Cultural Centre Model – Student Project

The Wenlock Cultural Centre is a social design project aimed at engaging young people with skateboarding and the arts. Creating new opportunities for people that need them.
The purpose of this project was to reimagine a disused property in Islington (one that was listed for development into luxury housing) and transform it into a community space that offers a Café, Cinema, Gallery Space, Skatepark and Outdoor Seating. I chose to work in a colour scheme that contrasted the typical urban environment, using scenes inspired from the natural world in ocean blue and forrest green to inspire inner city children.
